It's Been A While

It's been a while since I've updated my blog. Not only have I been busy with work, but the internet connection there sucks as well. So here I am sitting at Java Joe's with my best friend. We're not talking to eachother, just an occasional comment about what we're doing. But other than that we're both just doing our own thing. Which leads me to conclude that having a best friend doesn't mean you just have someone to talk to. But even more it means, having someone whom you don't have to talk to, but you know will always be there. I can't imagine my life, without my best friend and I thank God for her. She's been there for me through everything in my life. Not just the good and the bad, but even through all the minor unimportant events. And I guess that is the main essence of being a best friend: JUST BEING THERE!!! So to my best friend, Corin, thank you for everything!!!!

My one and only and me...

"Belau my island, paradise of the sea..."

It's been over a month since I've returned to Saipan and I keep thinking of Palau especially my family and friends who I got to see. And also of my fiance's family and friends who I got to meet. I guess no matter where we live, being a Palauan means you always think of home. I can't wait till I get to go to Palau again. I guess being away from my family and friends makes me cherish them even more. I recently lost a good friend/co-worker of mine and I guess that's part of what's gotten me thinking about my friends and family. You never know when your time on earth is going to end so I guess we should make the most of every day that we have. So that makes my new year's resolution number 4: stay close to family and friends. So to all my family and friends out there, if i forget to stay close, remind me!!!!!

On New Year's Day in Palau we went to the island of Ulong. My niece (very photogenic) had a wonderful time. It was nice to spend time with my family after not seeing them for more than a year.

This is it?

Picture: This is my fiance, Melinton riding a wakeboard in Palau. These are the rock islands close to Soft Coral Arch. Beautiful huh?

I had a friend check out my blog right after my first post and after seeing it she said "This is it?" Ha Ha Ha. I said of course, i just started it. So here's my second blog for those of you who can't stand a 1 page website. Till next time. kraisey01

Will people read this?

After creating this "blog", I started to wonder if people would ever actually read this. So people if you do read this, I hope you enjoy reading what I have to say. I guess my first post should be about me. I'm just a simple island girl from the island of Peleliu in a group of islands called Palau. Right now I am living in Saipan and have been for a couple of years. I just got back from Palau about 2 weeks ago and I miss it already. I guess when you don't live there, everything feels so new and fresh to you when you do visit and that's what I miss the most. I do agree that we have a lot of "elsang", but we tend to forget that the customs that we have are what bind us together as one. Well, enough of that. See you at my next post. kraisey01
